tde expands online tools with user-friendly optical splice enclosures configurator
Dortmund/Germany, 12 November 2014. Due to the high level of acceptance the optical fibre patch and trunk cable configurator has gained, tde – trans data elektronik GmbH further expands its online tool portfolio. In this way, the network expert again emphasises its high quality standards: the new optical fibre distribution configurator is based on the product data base of tde“s own cross-media-publishing-system and is as easy to handle as the optical fibre configurator. In only few steps customers can configure splice and breakout boxes with different mountings. In order to guarantee a plausible and correct configuration tde has integrated an intelligent inspection system. At the touch of a button, the completely configured application can be added to a personal list and immediately sent as a request to tde“s internal sales services. tde is planning to integrate both optical fibre configurators into its new online shop soon so that in the future customers can place their orders directly. tde´s new web-based online tool now offers customers even more professional support for the configuration of optical splice enclosures: with the user-friendly optical splice enclosures configurator splice and breakout distributors with different mountings can be configured plausibly and adequately in just three steps. All common optical fibre connector faces are possible reaching from ST to E2000 connectors. For the configuration, customers firstly choose the distributor type from the drop-down menu: 19-inch rack mount enclosures, wall-mount distributors, sub rack modules or DIN rail modules are available in the tBL programme. Secondly, the mounting type follows according to the criteria fibre type, optical fibre coupling type and pigtails. In the options section, customers can lastly choose whether they want their application to be ready to splice or equipped with splice protectors. tde has added a matching picture of each component to every stage of the selection process to ensure a better understanding.

An intelligent inspection system guarantees that users can only create plausible and correct configurations. If users have finished their configuration they can generate a data sheet with a detailed listing of all technical parameters of the components used. At the same time, the requested configuration can be added to a personal list at the touch of a button and can be subsequently sent as a request to tde“s internal sales services. Sales services can react faster to requests and no longer have to deal with time-consuming enquiries.
The optical splice enclosures configurator supports manifold configuration possibilities. Depending on the created configuration, the tool automatically also adds small parts such as splice equipment or fastening material.
