MoRoS ADSL enables broadband access for industrial applications

MoRoS ADSL 2.1 PRO and INSYS ADSL from INSYS icom

Introducing the router MoRoS ADSL, INSYS icom extends its portfolio of industry-standard ADSL devices for internet access.
As a part of the MoRoS platform, the new router provides connection management for autonomous operation, secure VPN connections, and redundancy. If required, internet and VPN connections can be enabled via a digital input through a key switch or a PLC.
Up to four network-capable devices and further switches can be directly connected to the integrated switch. A quick configuration option via a web interface enables users to immediately access the internet.
Additionally, the configuration of a master device can be transferred to other MoRoS ADSL units in a fixed binary format or as a text file. Via auto-update, the devices can autonomously download updated configurations and firmware from a customer server on a daily basis.
Optionally, users can also access the INSYS Connectivity Service that enables secure, unrestricted connections between machines, plants and operators via all public networks including mobile radio. During initial registration for this VPN service, MoRoS ADSL autonomously downloads all required certificates and settings via a secure connection.

In applications with other MoRoS models (mobile radio, telephone network, LAN) or routing-capable PCs, INSYS ADSL 1.0 can be added as an ADSL-only modem.
MoRoS ADSL and INSYS ADSL use the current ADSL2+ standard for quick internet access with a maximum downstream speed of 25 Mbit/s.

They are suited for all applications that require high data volumes or very short reaction times: thanks to wide availability and low flat rate costs, ADSL is an ideal medium for remote access e.g. in remote desktops, IP video cameras, or other applications such as building services engineering. Both models support ADSL according to Annex B for use in Germany or Annex A/M/L for international use. Mounted on a DIN rail and suitable for an extended temperature range, they qualify for use in demanding applications in plant engineering, in building services automation, and in utilities.
