Featuring Siberia International Energy and Energy Efficiency Forum
From 18 to 20 September 2012 for the very first time the gates of the Novosibirsk Expocentre open for elcom Rossija. The Siberia International Energy and Energy Efficiency Forum and the German – Russian Conference on Energy Efficiency on the 2nd day make an ideal supporting program. Against the background of increasing numbers in imports and exports of electro-technology the 1st International Trade Fair on Renewable and Conventional Energy, Energy Efficiency, Electrical Engineering, Lighting and Automation is organised by the inventors of elcomUkraine, fairtrade and Euroindex together with Siberia Expo from Russia.
Siberia has 38 million inhabitants, of whom 10 million live in an area of 600 km around Novosibirsk. The administrative center of Siberian Federal District and the third most populous city in Russia not only offers an excellent geopolitical location, a huge scientific potential and tremendous mineral resources, but also the brand-new Novosibirsk Expocentre. According to Igor Tschernych of Siberia Expo, the top-modern and conveniently between Novosibirsk International Airport and the city center located facility features 14,500 sqm of ultra-modern exhibition space, 1,500 sqm of state-of-the-art conference rooms and further 3,200 sqm of office space.
According to ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers“ Association, Russian imports have increased by 16.6 per cent to 32.55 billion Euro in 2011. In the same period, Russian producers have exported electro-technology at a volume of 3.49 billion Euro. To sum-up, Russian imports and exports of electro-technology stand for a 36.04 billion Euro business.
The organisers of elcomUkraine, fairtrade from Germany and Euroindex from Ukraine have also recognized this potential. Together with their Siberian partner Siberia Expo they organize the 1st elcom Rossija from 18 to 19 September 2012 at the Novosibirsk Expocentre. The institutional partner of the trade show is the Novosibirsk State Technical University-Faculty for Automation & Power Engineering Systems. As the event enjoys the support of the Minister of Economic Development and the Minister of Construction and Housing of the Novosibirsk Region, the two ministers, Mr Aleksey Strukov and Mr Denis Vladimirovich Vershinin, will not only chair the event but also actively participate in the conferences. The importance of this conference for the whole region is also underlined by the participation of REA, the Russian Energy Agency which was established in 2009 under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
Germany is the Guest of Honor of elcom Rossija 2012. As one of Russia“s most important trading partners, Germany“s presentation as Guest of Honor contributes to further develop this position. Additionally an official German pavilion will be presented by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in cooperation with AUMA and supported by ZVEI. And a German – Russian Conference on Energy Efficiency featuring will be held on the 2nd exhibition day.
